Andreína (Nina) Fuentes

AKA Nina Dotti

Director

  Founder of Arts Connection Foundation (2006), she is a social museologist, entrepreneur, curator, collector and artist ( Nina Dotti).
Creator and Founder of Hardcore Art Contemporary Space  (2003-2013), Arts Connection Foundation ( 2006-Present),  Connection Concepts (2016-Present), The Inclusive Way (2016-Present), online news paper The Wynwood Times ( 2014-Present ) and The Chill Concept Pop up Museum ( 2013-present). Due to Nina’s Fuentes professional background in Business and Museum Science Studies she had been involved in several ways of contemporary art practices including new media and technology.
As a gallerist and a museum specialist she had participated since 2004  in over 80 international art fairs as: Art Miami, Arte Americas Miami, Scope (New York, Miami and Basel), Context Miami, Bridge London, Pinta Art Fair ( New York, London and Miami) , Art Shanghai, LINK Hong Kong, Platform LA, Art Wynwood, FIA Caracas, BARCU, among many others.
Curator since 1999, Nina has managed for more than 40 exhibits including the creation of the methodology for The Chill Concept pop up Museum.  Nina’s focus for curating contemporary art is based on creating exhibits as a platform for social activism and education in human rights, citizenship, environmental issues, creative thinking and community engagement.
She start collecting Contemporary Art in 1996. Nina Fuentes VIP Collection have more then a 1.000 works of conceptual art in three categories Video, Installations and Photography with a political and feminist profile.
 Nina Fuentes is knowns as artist Nina Dotti as well.She had been working in participatory performances practices since 2004. Also applications as the P.M.S Lounge App (English, Spanish and Italian) and Yo Soy Venezuela y Tengo Derecho social media participatory performance.

Adriana Meneses

Director

Adriana Meneses Imber graduated from Social Communication at the UCAB (Caracas, Venezuela) and has a post-graduate degree in Art Administration from Drexel University, (Philadelphia, USA). Since the year 79 I work as a reporter for the Cultural Pages of El Universal, a task that I continued while studying in the United States. He took Art Appreciation courses at the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia.
In 1987 he opens the gallery Ernst Alexander in the city of Washington DC.
From 1990 to 1995 she works as Director of Culture of the Government of the Federal District, Venezuela, where she develops an extensive program of exhibitions, musical events, and training workshops, among other activities.
In 1995 she became Director-founder of the Museum of the West Jacobo Borges, unique institution in its genre whose profile is to develop a museum work that links the artistic to the social. In that position he remains for eleven years. In 2006 he went on to direct the Carlos Cruz Diez Museum, and from there to the management of special projects of the IARTES.
In July 2015 she moved to the United States, where she has been organizing exhibitions and is part of the I AM MONUMENTS_Institutional Assets and Monuments team and is part of the Arts Connection board.

Milagros González

Director

Museologist and Historian born in Caracas in 1970. Gonzalez worked as a researcher at the Fine Arts Museum and the National Art Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela, between 1998 and 2009. In that period Gonzalez worked in several art exhibitions, coordinated research for books and catalogs and studied the origins of Caracas museums. In 2007 she published a book, De la Colección a la Nacion. Aventuras de los intelectuales en los Museos de Caracas. 1874-1940 (From Collection to Nation. Adventures of Venezuelan intellectuals in the museums of Caracas. 1874-1940), Polar Foundation, Caracas, 2007. Based in Miami since 2009, in 2010 she was invited as a speaker at “Crossroads. II International Congress of Sculpture”, Institute of Aesthetic Research, National Autonomous University of Mexico, Puebla, where she shared her research on bronze monuments in Venezuela in the late nineteenth century. Since 2014 she works as Research Coordinator for IAM Venezuela (Institutional Assests and Monuments from Venezuela), and since 2017 at IAMonuments (Institutional Assests and Monuments).





Ana María Carrano

Director

Journalist dedicated to innovation and culture, and Knight Journalism Fellow 2014 at Stanford University. For Arts Connection, she works as a Communication Strategist (US) and manager of IAM Venezuela, a platform created to protect Venezuelan heritage. She has led several innovative media projects, including the first apps for iOS and Android tablets developed by a Venezuelan newspaper and the first collaborative and hyperlocal website in her country. She has also worked as a book editor for several years. As the editor of the Jacobo Borges Museum, she coordinated publications that were recognized by the Venezuelan Best Book of the Year Awards.

Adriana Barrios

Director

Graphic Designer, curator, and artist. Organizer and producer of different multidisciplinary and multimedia events at The Chill Concept and with the Arts Connection Foundation, such as the Miami New Media Festival and the Art Fashion Weekend. Some of her artistic work may be found in galleries, museums, and collections in Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, and the United States. She is also the director of cultural Foundation TELEMA, Technology, Language and Media, located in Caracas, Venezuela.


Pietro Daprano

Curator

Pietro Daprano is curator and museographic. He obtained a Licentiate of Art in the Armando Reverón University Institute in Caracas. Daprano’s fascination with art, motivated by his commitment to collaborate with a large number of artists and photographers in the consolidation of their creative processes and artistic production, promoting their furtherance in important spaces and platforms, such as the Lens Culture network, World Press Photo and Fujifilm Profilm. His research interests include post-global discourses in artistic and curatorial practice, the fertility of representation strategies, narration and interaction and power.
As an independent curator, he is the director of the Portfolio Rew Pro and was the Director of Connect Now Room, an alternative space of the Arts Connection Foundation. He has been a museographer of important museographic projects, among them (Re) presentations. Contemporary Latin American Photography, PhotoEspaña'13. La Caja, Chacao Cultural Center, Caracas, The Chill Concept Stand, Context Art Miami. Florida. Currently, he is curator of Nina Fuentes VIP.
